Joint Call by the Federation of Arab Journalists and ICSSI
The Federation of Arab Journalists and the Iraqi Civil Society Solidarity Initiative (ICSSI) join forces in a united appeal to the international community to condemn the targeted killing of Palestinian journalists in Gaza. Together, we call on global media organizations, human rights bodies, the United Nations, and the International Court of Justice to take urgent action to hold perpetrators accountable and to protect press freedom and the right to truth.
We strongly denounce these deliberate attacks against journalists, which constitute a grave violation of international law and an attempt to silence independent reporting. The killing of journalists is not only an attack on individuals, but also an assault on the public’s right to know and on the very foundations of justice and accountability.
