One Hundred  Runners Participated To The  First Race

   Baghdad Wednesday 24^th of October 2012 Inside the University of Baghdad in , more than 100 runners have take part in a race of 5 km. the Iraqi Civil Society Solidarity Initiative,  together with the organization of Baghdad Marathon and Sports Against Violence have worked together with  the Baghdadi NGOs , and civil society activists to organize this event. Boys and girls from different backgrounds have worked days before to spread  the news  via the social networks and to mobilize for this run. Around thirty  volunteers had engage in the organization of the run, they  have prepared the route and give their assistance to the runners in the best way!  After the race a lot of NGOs and more  young girls and boys have give life to a nice Party with stands, music and dance. Nicola Visconti the director of the Italian association “ Baghdad Marathon “, was in Baghdad and participated in this run, Nicola say that : What is certainly is that everyone, NGO, Youth, Institutions, University, Sport Association are sure that next year there will be an International Marathon in Baghdad: Baghdad Marathon is not more a dream but a reality!
